📡 Growing the Festival

Why It Matters
Irish women have always told extraordinary stories — on stage, on page, and on screen. But too often those stories go unseen, underfunded and uncelebrated.
The Irish Women's Short Film Festival exists to change that. We are building a platform that champions female Irish filmmakers not just in Ireland, but across the diaspora and around the world. Adelaide is just the beginning.
When you donate to this festival, you are directly investing in Irish art, in female creativity, and in a global community of storytellers who are doing the work regardless of the resources behind them.
Every contribution helps us:
Screen more films from more filmmakers
Offer meaningful awards and recognition
Grow our reach into the Irish diaspora worldwide
Support the next generation of Irish women in film
Keep the festival affordable for audiences
Make a Donation
When you choose to give, you become part of something bigger—something powerful. Your support fuels progress and inspires the next generation of filmmakers.

Yes, and what a beautiful thing to do. Many of the most beloved awards in film festival history began exactly this way — as a tribute to someone whose love of film, of storytelling, or of Irish culture deserved to live on. If you would like to dedicate a donation or sponsor an award in someone's name, please get in touch and we will make it something truly special. 💚
